Navigating Policy for a
Digital World
Our Mission
Innovative ideas often challenge the familiar and inspire resistance. History is littered with great innovators who have been hampered or even halted in their ambitions to improve people’s lives.
Understanding and staying in control of the public policy environment allows you to anticipate potential challenges and meet them. How you and your brand are perceived by the public, policy makers, and the marketplace can determine your ability to influence the public policy change you may need to reach your potential.
Flux Digital Policy helps innovative companies to stay in control of the public policy environment and shape it to their advantage.
Approach
A strategic approach means thinking about policy early on and focusing as much on keeping out of the spotlight as reacting to external events or lobbying for change.
This is a more effective and less costly way to protect your brand and grow your business.
01
Anticipate
Understand who and how you challenge. We can offer insight and advice on how you challenge the status quo, how you will be received by the public, policy makers and markets around the world.
02
Prepare
Address your challenges in advance. Many potential risks can be mitigated before you reach the public arena, massively reducing cost and damage to your brand in the long-term.
03
Educate
Inform and influence key stakeholders. Everyone needs a baseline of education to have an informed debate. We present the facts early on and in a targeted way, before views become entrenched. On this basis we can influence the public policy environment.
04
Adapt
Respond to and engage with your audience. In order to advance we sometimes need to change. This may be in our strategy and messaging or it may be in product and policies. Collaborating with partners, competitors and policy makers to adapt the policy environment can prove a great strength.
05
Defend
Sometimes you have to fight and defend. You may have done everything you are supposed to have done but you have wound up on the wrong side of the public discourse. When things turn against you we can help recapture the tone of the debate, overcome assumptions and misconceptions, and put you back in control.
What We Do
Our unique approach to public policy and our passion for innovation comes from our in-house experience at some of the world’s game-changing companies. We’ve seen first hand how important owning the policy debate can be to the success or failure of a brand or product. It’s also made us understand what makes these companies tick.
